
Lead HSEQ Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Lead HSEQ Engineer to provide HSEQ & ESG support and guidance for Renewables projects at DeepOcean. In this pivotal role, you will lead the implementation and ensure compliance with HSEQ and ESG requirements, while also supporting tendering, operational projects, and worksites.
As a key member of our enthusiastic and professional HSEQ Department, you will have the autonomy to allocate your time effectively in supporting the Renewables team. This position not only offers the opportunity to contribute to a larger HSEQ Department but also to pioneer an exciting new role within the company.
Your expertise will drive continuous improvement and ensure our operations consistently meet the highest standards.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead operational guidance for HSEQ & ESG requirements in all project phases within the Renewables department.
- Supervise and support HSEQ on a daily basis for all operational worksites and projects.
- Ensure procedures, standards, and best practices are maintained.
- Liase with clients, third parties, and suppliers, attending project meetings, audits, and inspections.
- Oversee and participate in risk assessments in relevant tendering, operational, and project phases.
- Provide advice on hazardous working practices and necessary control measures.
- Monitor and report on compliance with legislation and the Business Management System.
- Participate in internal and external audits, including third-party accreditation processes.
- Oversee incident and near miss reporting, guiding and supporting as required.
- Develop and deliver HSEQ training, presentations, and familiarization courses as needed.
- Assess the required level of support and report to the HSE Manager with clear recommendations and information on the necessary support level.
Qualifications
- Degree or other equivalent recognized HSEQ & ESG qualification.
- 5 years+ in a discipline related role.
- Recognized Lead Auditor Qualifications.
- Industry experience.
- Self-leading.
- Confident.
- Have a high standard of delivery.
- Detail-oriented.
- Well organized and work systematically and structured.
