(Junior) Manager – Logistics and Offshore Operations

Mitsui & Co. Norway AS is looking for an ambitious and proactive (Junior) Manager to join our Logistics and Offshore Operations team.

As a Base and operational Manager in our Logistics and Offshore Operations, you will lead our warehouse and stock yard operations. You will work closely with suppliers and customers to ensure smooth operations and maintain high standards of quality and safety. The role requires a hands-on approach to logistics and operations management.

Operational Management

  • Oversee incoming shipments (sea and road), including inspection, preservation, documentation, and storage.
  • Handle outgoing goods: prepare, pack, and dispatch as per customer requirements.
  • Manage backloads from customers, including inspection, repair, and restocking.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and ensure proper preservation of materials.
  • Maintain accurate traceability and documentation for all goods.

Invoicing & Cost Control

  • Timely invoicing of all logistics activities.
  • Approve supplier invoices and implement cost-saving measures.

HSE & Quality Assurance

  • Support and enforce HSE and QA/QC procedures.
  • Address non-conformance issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Assist in HSE reporting and KPI tracking for monthly management review.

Primary base is in Stavanger, with frequent travel to our Oslo office. Alternatively, the position can be based in Oslo, with very frequent travel to Stavanger.

Required:

  • Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English (written and spoken).
  • Strong numeracy skills and an eye for detail.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and proactive approach to work.

Preferred:

  • Experience in logistics and/or operations, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
