Join our commercial team as a Business Analyst

We are now looking for a Business Analyst with digital skills who can join our team in Lysaker/Kongsberg, Norway. The Business Analyst is a critical component to the success of our regional Commercial team and will contribute to ensuring that we reach our strategy through performing market analysis, consolidating sales opportunities and conducting management reporting. The position will also be a key member of our global pool of analysts, supporting the commercial community with business planning, strategy cases and digital initiatives.

The ideal candidate will leverage their digital capabilities to support the regional Subsea strategy, enhance market intelligence, and drive the implementation of digital initiatives. This role requires a proactive approach to building internal networks and supporting strategic projects, ensuring alignment and growth within the organization. Additionally, the candidate must be adept in Power BI and preferably other programming, and willing to learn and adapt to new digital tools such as Salesforce and data lakes.

Job Description

1. Manage our pipeline of sales opportunities
2. Support and lead monthly Commercial reviews and related handover meetings
3. Maintain extensive knowledge of market trends and industry news
4. Contribute to regional strategy initiatives
5. Lead global initiatives within the commercial team in the pursuit of enhanced market intelligence
6. Support the effective use of Salesforce and other applications to enhance data-driven decision-making
7. Build and maintain a strong internal network across the organization

You are meant for this job if:

1. Have a degree in: Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field
2. Have excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
3. Have strong Microsoft office suite experience – advanced PowerBI, Excel and Power Point skills are required. Experience with programming language is beneficial.
4. Have the ability to work in a complex and international organization and communicate effectively with professional and technical personnel at all levels
5. Are solution-oriented and continuously raise standards to help us solve complex problems
6. Have strong written and verbal communication skills in English
