We are looking for a Team Lead Embedded Software to act as a Principal Embedded Software Developer. The position will lead a small team of SW engineers developing world-class multiphase measurement instruments.
The focus of this position is software development of embedded systems using C++ on a Linux platform, working in a structured requirement-driven engineering process.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Team lead and mentor
- Take ownership of development objectives and drive development through all phases.
- Collaborate with other functions in product definition and requirement specification processes (FRS and system level).
- Lead the creation, maintenance, and documentation of software requirement specifications and source code.
- Oversee the design, development, and testing of software modules and systems, supporting both software and hardware testing.
- Mentor and guide team members on general work practices and specific technical topics.
- Actively contribute to process and quality improvements.
You are the first to spot possible future policies, practices, and trends in the organization, with the competition, and in the marketplace. You consistently apply a business driver and marketplace focus when prioritizing actions. You adjust communication content and style to meet the needs of diverse collaborators. You model and encourage the expression of diverse ideas and opinions empowering your team. You serve as a strategic partner to build, grow, and maintain profitable and long-lasting relationships with key accounts.
For This Role, You Will Need:
- University level / college degree in IT, programming, electronics or relevant field. Lack of formal education may be compensated with proven experience.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience.
- Deep knowledge on more than one of the following:
- Embedded C / C++ programming and Python scripting.
- Embedded web pages / servers.
- Linux OS development.
- Understanding of physics, electronics, mathematics.
- Agile work practices.
- Linux development experience.
- Knowledge of the oil and gas industry.
- Secure coding and security best practices.
