We are looking for a skilled project engineer for our deliveries within Substation Automation System (SAS), including protection and control systems. We primarily deliver system solutions for power and utility companies, as well as projects in the transport sector and energy-intensive industries in Norway.

The opportunity

As a Project Engineer - Station Control/SCADA at Hitachi Energy, you will be part of a strong professional environment and work in multidisciplinary teams. If you have the right skills and experience, the position can be defined as a senior project engineer.

How you'll make an impact

  1. Implementing technical solutions for digital infrastructure for protection and control systems.
  2. Configuring local SCADA systems, such as MicroSCADA and RTU.
  3. Developing HMI interfaces for substations.
  4. Participating in tests, both internally and at customer sites, and collaborating with test engineers.
  5. Reporting progress and any deviations to the Technical Lead Engineer and project manager.
  6. Assisting with technical clarifications, risk assessments, and improvement work in projects.
  7. Customer contact in connection with tendering work, project meetings, testing, and commissioning.
  8. Expect around 50 travel days per year.

Your background

  1. Background as an electrical engineer or technical college engineer with experience in relevant fields.
  2. Knowledge of standards such as IEC 61850 and IEC 60870-5-101/104 is an advantage.
  3. Experience with SCADA, RTU, LAN networks, and cyber security.
  4. Proficiency in a Scandinavian language and English.
  5. Focus on HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment).
  6. Driver's license class B.

The position is based in Oslo. You will report to the Engineering Manager on a day-to-day basis and to the Lead Engineer and Project Manager during project work.
