Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Analytics Consultant to join our Northern Europe analytics team, specializing in credit risk management with a strong focus on client engagement and innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 8 years of experience in the banking and finance sector or management consulting, with a deep understanding of credit risk management and EU/local regulations such as IRB, IFRS 9, NPL management and ESG standards.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships, leading and managing analytics projects, and delivering analytics solutions to the benefit of our clients and their customers. Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL is preferred, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex information clearly. You will also play a key role in developing new scores and attributes, new analytics products and use cases of analytics platforms, staying updated on industry trends. Key Responsibilities

  • Build client relationships, and identify and drive client opportunities, being a trusted advisor for our clients.
  • Participate in pre-sales and sales meetings with clients and prospects to describe and position Experian's analytics projects, determine the client requirements across the full range of Experian Decision Analytics solutions ensuring the relationship with the client is productive and professional.
  • Engage in a consultative way with the clients to identify problems and define, design and deliver solutions and identify new opportunities. Create and present proposals and recommendations to clients for solutions.
  • Lead and manage project teams, ensure successful delivery of analytics projects, delivery of value-driven recommendations, knowledge transfer and effective advisory.
  • Lead innovation analytics driven projects, playing an active role in developing new analytics products and solutions for our clients.
  • Act as a Project Manager for projects involving statistical modelling, analytics platforms, sandbox use or regulatory analytics, assessing project scope, duration, resources and cost to define the project plan.
  • Review the project deliveries to ensure that all analysis is thorough and established, quality procedures are followed to help guarantee the robustness of the solution and that all critical business issues are identified through data analysis.
  • Stay on top of industry trends and engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Pre-Sales, Product, Operations, Data and Platforms as well as international teams to ensure scaling Experian Analytics presence & capabilities across financial services.
  • Lead workshops and knowledge sharing sessions with our clients, joining Experian events as a speaker to provide expertise and insights to our clients.
  • Analyze and identify value creation and improvement opportunities at the intersection of business, data and technology.
  • Mentor and coach junior colleagues in the team.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in quantitative fields such as Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Business Science, Economics, Management or a related field.
  • 4 to 8 years of proven experience in credit risk management within the banking and finance sector or in any management consulting or analytics and data driven industry.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk management and analytics areas. Knowhow with EU and local credit risk regulations, including IRB, IFRS 9, NPL Management and ESG standards.
  • Strong understanding of analytical products, data and analytics. Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL and Databricks knowledge is a plus and familiarity with advanced analytics techniques and tools such as machine learning and AI.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to clients and bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze large datasets and develop predictive models, innovative thinking and the ability to translate data and analytics into business outcomes.
  • In-depth knowledge of market trends, financial products including strong market knowledge and experience in the Nordic financial sector.
  • Experience in managing projects and leading teams.
  • Fluency in Danish or Norwegian and English is a must.
