Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Field Test Engineer with strong expertise in 4G LTE, VoLTE, and 5G call flow to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive field testing of mobile networks, analysing call flows, and ensuring optimal performance across different network operators. Your work will play a critical role in validating network quality, device interoperability, and end-user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct field tests on mobile devices and network infrastructure to validate performance, reliability, and coverage in 4G LTE, VoLTE, and 5G networks.
  2. Analyze and troubleshoot call flows, signaling procedures, and handover mechanisms across different network operators.
  3. Perform end-to-end testing of voice, data, and multimedia services, focusing on QoS (Quality of Service) and KPI (Key Performance Indicators) monitoring.
  4. Collaborate with network operators, vendors, and internal teams to identify issues, recommend solutions, and optimize network performance.
  5. Use diagnostic tools to capture and analyze network logs, traces, and protocol data (e.g., Wireshark, QXDM, TEMS, etc.).
  6. Document test results, prepare detailed reports, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  7. Ensure compliance with industry standards, network protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  8. Participate in the development of test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for network validation.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience in mobile field testing, focusing on 4G LTE, VoLTE, and 5G networks.
  3. Strong understanding of mobile network architecture, protocols, and call flows (e.g., SIP, IMS, EPC, QoS).
  4. Hands-on experience with network testing tools such as QXDM, TEMS, ELT, or similar.
  5. Proficient in analyzing radio frequency (RF) performance, signal strength, and network KPIs.
  6. Experience working with major network operators and understanding operator-specific configurations.
  7. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex network issues in real-time.
  8. Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Knowledge of 5G NR (New Radio) architecture and NR call flow analysis.
  2. Experience with automation tools and scripting (Python, Shell, etc.).
  3. Understanding of network virtualization (NFV, SDN) and cloud infrastructure.
  4. Familiarity with LTE/5G Core Network components (AMF, SMF, UPF, etc.).

Work Environment:

Fieldwork in diverse environments, including outdoor sites, cellular towers, and network operations centers. Occasional travel may be required to different test sites and operator locations.
