Introduction to the job:

We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer that can support our projects in planning and execution of quality risk mitigation activities with special focus on piping, plastic, welding, forging, and tubing products and has experience from Subsea Projects.

Please note that we will consider candidates from Lysaker, Krakow, or Le Trait.

Job Description

  1. Collaborate in planning of Quality Surveillance activities for the project to ensure that suppliers meet the requirements.
  2. Participate in Package Criticality Assessments and Supplier Risk Assessments.
  3. Be responsible for preparing the Quality Surveillance plans.
  4. Participate in Pre-Production Meetings, weekly meetings with project team and other stakeholders.
  5. Manage the suppliers' intervention activities, review and follow up inspection and test plans in accordance with the project QS plan.
  6. Responsible for follow up Supplier NCRs, RCCAs, status reporting of supplier performance and lessons learned.
  7. Interact with SQEs on Corrective Actions and preventive development of the suppliers to mitigate risk to the Project.
  8. Review Inspection reports and ensure that they are stored and followed up.
  9. Participate in defining the content of the SMDR to ensure that each product will get the correct documents / procedures / reports that will cover the manufacturing process.
  10. Support QHSE onsite activities through QCS/SQ function where needed.
  11. Participate in suppliers' performance assessment.

The Supplier Quality Control and Surveillance Engineer will be reporting to the Supplier Quality Manager and be part of the European Supplier Quality Team.

The position will be remunerated in accordance with TechnipFMC position grading system which is competitive with the market.

The position will be located in one of TechnipFMC offices: Krakow, Le Trait, Lysaker and European travels will be required to visit TechnipFMC offices and Suppliers.

You are meant for this job if:

  1. A Bachelor's Degree or similar is required.
  2. Additional experience in Supply Chain management, Lean Manufacturing, Process Improvement is desired.
  3. Work experience can compensate for lack of formal competency.
  4. Minimum 3 years experience in Quality, Engineering, Supplier Development, Supplier Quality and/or Project Management.
  5. Excellent level of spoken and written English.
  6. Knowledge of Norwegian is a plus.
  7. Good collaboration skills and an ability to work independently and systematically.
  8. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple, and often conflicting priorities is critical.
  9. Problem-solving skills related to functional area, understanding business impact on overall business.
  10. Must have demonstrated performance as a change agent with leadership and project management skills.
  11. Strong presentation and communication skills at all organizational levels.
  12. Experience with ERP and MRP systems is preferred.
  13. Candidates must be able to legally work and reside, without sponsorship.
