Job Purpose

A Quality Specialist ensures products meet quality standards. They develop quality control systems, conduct audits, test products, document results, collaborate with teams, train members, investigate complaints, analyze data, and report on quality metrics.

Job Description

Accountabilities:

  1. Perform Quality checks of Supplier/Internal manufacturing records to authorize the shipment of parts according to engineering & project requirements for mid-size site.
  2. Oversee all quality assurance processes and ensure that standards are met. This includes reviewing and approving GSOP, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes as necessary.
  3. Resolve complex technical queries related to Materials, NDE, Welding, Coating & Lifting.
  4. Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics & investigate customer complaints and non-conformances.
  5. Lead or participate in investigations to resolve quality issues using quality & lean tools.
  6. Train team members on quality control measures to enhance the services.
  7. Analyze the data to identify areas for improvement.
  8. Act as the primary point of contact for all customer and internal audits. This includes preparing for audits, guiding the team through the audit process, responding to audit findings, and implementing corrective actions. Maintain strong relationships with customers and ensure their satisfaction with the quality of our products and services.
  9. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team. This includes identifying opportunities for process improvements, implementing changes, and monitoring the effectiveness of these changes.
  10. Identify and improve the GAPS in Engineering Requirements (Traceability, Specific Processes etc).
  11. Support in providing quality requirements during the design stage.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor of Engineering/Master of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering).
  2. Minimum 8 Years of Experience in Quality Function.
  3. Shall have thorough Technical Understanding on Industry Standards (API, ISO, ASME, ASTM, NORSOK, DNV), Engineering practices, Manufacturing techniques, Material Engineering, Destructive and Non-destructive Testing, Measuring Instruments, and Engineering Drawing.
  4. Shall be able to read, interpret & make decisions on acceptance of various reports as per the Industry and TechnipFMC standards/Engineering Requirements/Project Requirements.
  5. Thorough experience in using various applications for the day-to-day execution – Outlook (email), Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word) and SAP/ERP (any other relevant).
  6. Shall have hands-on experience on resolving Non-Conformances.
  7. Shall have hands-on experience in Quality & Lean Tools for problem-solving.
  8. Shall have Good Communication skills to work with Global Functional teams.
  9. Shall have proficiency in mentoring and training.
  10. Flexibility to work in different shifts based on the need (Global regions: US/ER).
  11. Should have led a process improvement project.
  12. Ability to manage stakeholders.
  13. Good to have process or Product audit experience.
