Spektrum is seeking a highly skilled Senior Government Liaison Specialist to support our clients in the aerospace and defense industry. As a key member of our team, you will provide subject matter expertise to represent senior government officials in training exercises and scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic advice and guidance on government perspectives and political concerns to training audiences.
  • Ensure a realistic and coherent response from government officials in training scenarios.
  • Act as the focal point for training audiences on strategic matters related to government policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate political matters with operational and strategic impacts within government and exercise teams.
  • Develop concepts of operations for government ministries in conflict scenarios and present plans as needed.
  • Assist training audiences with initial planning stages by providing subject matter expertise and scenario representation.
  • Understand and analyze developing training audience plans and documentation and their impacts on government policies and procedures.
  • Generate exercise material to provide a challenging and realistic problem set to training audiences.

Requirements

  • 3 years' experience in political decision-making at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs level in Africa.
  • 3 years' experience in briefing senior leaders/decision-makers at the governance level in a national or multinational environment.
  • 3 years' experience in influencing national policy-making at the strategic level in Africa.
  • University/Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent).
  • Business English language proficiency.

Working Conditions

  • Stavanger, Norway (with remote work options available).
  • 5-15 working days per event (with up to 12-hour days).
  • Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance.
