About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated summer students to join our maritime autonomy research group at Høvik.

As a summer student, you will be part of a diverse and international team of technical experts working on cutting-edge projects in automated navigation systems for autonomous and remotely operated ships.

Your main tasks will involve working on various challenges related to sensors, algorithms, and sensor-fusion for detection of other ships and obstacles. You may also contribute to simulator-based testing and software tools for testing of components in autonomous navigation systems.

Requirements

  • You should be a 3rd or 4th year student with a Master Program specialization within one of the following areas: Marine Technology, Cybernetics / Robotics, Data Science / AI, Mathematics / Statistics, Physics, or Computer Science / Information Science.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  • Able to work both individually and cooperate in teams.
  • Aligned with DNV's purpose and values.
