Job Description:

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our European Wind and Solar team. The successful candidate will assist in the project management of our renewable projects at construction stage. Key responsibilities include supporting the delivery of projects within a safe working environment and industry best practices, contributing to the development and maintenance of excellent environmental and HSSE standards, and assisting with managing early-stage feasibility studies for projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the project management of our renewable projects at construction stage.
  2. Support the delivery of projects within a safe working environment and industry best practices.
  3. Contribute to the development and maintenance of excellent environmental and HSSE standards.
  4. Assist with managing early-stage feasibility studies for projects.
  5. Support the management of project budget as per Statkraft Project Governance and Capital Project Model (CPM).
  6. Assist in managing the use of internal company resources, including Procurement and Legal to support projects.
  7. Assist to successfully deliver project consent, route to market, land rights, grid etc and maturing projects towards completion.

Requirements:

  1. University degree in engineering or natural sciences with experience preferable.
  2. Previous experience with electrical high voltage construction or renewal energy projects would be an advantage.
  3. Clear affinity with renewables and ideally relevant working experience in the renewable energy industry in particular the construction processes and environmental assessments renewable energy projects.
  4. Understanding of renewable energy technology with experience of contracts and technical appendices for main technology supply contracts.
  5. Strong communication, relationship building and good management skills including organisational ability and a target oriented; demonstrated ability to prioritize.
  6. MS Office 365, Project (or equivalent), AutoCAD (preferably).
  7. Ability to concisely frame issues by providing context, analysis, recommendations, and risk/benefit, both in written and verbal format to project team.
  8. Project Management qualification is desirable.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
