Key Responsibilities
  • Execute structural and hydrodynamic analyses of offshore structures, including global and local linear analyses
  • Perform advanced analyses such as frequency and time-domain analyses, and non-linear analyses for structures exposed to extreme loads
  • Capacity evaluations of offshore steel structures for ultimate, fatigue, and accidental limit state conditions
  • Structural reassessment and life extension of offshore structures due to ageing, degradation, or changes in design premises
  • Programming to ensure effective work processes and develop new applications for future demands

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Naval Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with a major in Structural Engineering
  • Understanding of FE analyses and structural assessments, including linear structural analyses, non-linear FE analyses, hydrodynamic analyses, dynamic analyses, and frequency/time-domain analyses
  • Interest and experience in technical software, computer programming, and scripting, such as Python, Java, etc.
  • Interest in the ocean-based industry and relevant markets and sectors
  • Positive and proactive team player
  • Self-motivated and result-oriented with ability to meet deadlines
  • Good listening and communication skills
  • Good written and oral language skills in Norwegian and English
  • Current residence in Norway
