Job Description

DNV is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Graduate to join our team in Fixed and Floating Structures department. As a Graduate, you will be responsible for executing structural and hydrodynamic analyses of offshore structures, including global and local (linear) analyses, advanced analyses such as frequency and time domain analyses, and non-linear analyses for structures exposed to extreme loads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural and hydrodynamic analyses of offshore structures
  • Conduct capacity evaluations of offshore steel structures for ultimate, fatigue, and accidental limit state conditions
  • Develop and implement new applications for future demands in collaboration with commercial software providers
  • Work closely with the team to develop and validate software applications for analyses and design of loadbearing offshore structures
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Naval Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with a major in Structural Engineering
  • Understanding of FE analyses and structural assessments, including linear structural analyses, non-linear FE analyses, hydrodynamic analyses, dynamic analyses, and frequency/time-domain analyses
  • Interest and experience in technical software, computer programming, and scripting, such as Python and Java
  • Good listening and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English, with the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively
