We are looking for a highly experienced Downhole and Production Chemistry Specialist to join our team at TN Norway.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flow assurance principles, including wax, asphaltenes, emulsions, naphthenates, scaling, and hydrate management.
You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to provide input for Basis of Design documents and conduct OLGA simulations for early-phase projects.
Your technical expertise and collaboration skills will be essential in providing effective solutions to complex problems.
Key Responsibilities- Engage in downhole or DST sampling programs and provide flow assurance and production chemistry insights.
- Participate in and follow up with the PVT lab regarding standard PVT tests and ensure proper fluid characterization.
- Prepare and submit detailed scopes of work for flow assurance-related studies to study contractors.
- Monitor contractors' flow assurance work through regular status meetings and ensure QA/QC is performed on supplied study results and OLGA models.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in flow assurance engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of flow assurance principles, including wax, asphaltenes, emulsions, naphthenates, scaling, and hydrate management.
- Proficiency with OLGA simulation software and PVT analysis techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical data in a clear and concise manner.
