Your New Role
As our new Senior Engineering Manager, you will be part of a growing team of highly competent engineers in Norway, working on studies, FEED, and detail engineering solutions for customers across the energy industry in Norway and globally. Our market segments include hydrogen and e-fuels, biofuels, waste-to-energy, CCS, and wind.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team to ensure delivery of a design solution in line with customer expectations (quality, time, and cost) and Ramboll requirements and best practices.
- Manage technical requirements and engineering scope of work.
- Manage technical interfaces between engineering disciplines (internal/external).
- Support the project manager in ensuring that the project activities are planned and executed.
- Plan and lead interdisciplinary design meetings and design reviews.
- Promote the exploration and development of opportunities to improve the sustainability of the solution, in line with customer requirements.
- Identify and manage changes to the design and/or scope of work in collaboration with the Project Manager and/or Change Manager.
- Actively support our business development function in client meetings and tender preparation.
- Manage and lead technical discussions with the client.
- Manage the external design approval process, if required.
- Support competence development of the design team.
About You
We are looking for a highly experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in managing and leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in energy projects. You should have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a related discipline or equivalent, and a minimum of 10+ years of experience in the field. You should also have strong multidiscipline system knowledge, good team communication skills, and the ability to delegate. Additionally, you should demonstrate a proactive attitude, structured and analytical mindset, and good English and Scandinavian language skills.
