As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will assess the design/production/in-service aspects of engineering assets in the marine environment. You will use Lloyd's Register Rules and Procedures, as well as your experience and knowledge, to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

You will provide advice for service delivery within your area of expertise while adhering to budget constraints and contractual requirements.
You will produce deliverables within agreed parameters in a defined format to time, budget, and quality, and suggest solutions where appropriate. You will develop reports, certificates, and documents to an agreed format and within agreed timescales.
You will conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards. You will understand and apply basic principles of risk management, providing guidance to other employees as necessary.
You will contribute to external client management, ensuring service delivery is continually improved through monitoring and acting on client feedback appropriately. You will ensure the appropriate authorizations are gained and kept up-to-date, which may involve activity monitoring.
You will provide good control of projects, including communicating with clients, financial control, and timely and accurate reporting.
We are looking for someone with a degree or equivalent from a tertiary organization recognized by Lloyd's Register, or relevant sea-going experience as a certificated ship's engineer officer. Ideally, you will have over three years of relevant industry experience in a local or multinational organization.
Certified English proficiency and fluency according to job requirements and familiarity with maritime terminology in English are essential. You should be able to apply theoretical and practical methods to design, develop, manufacture, construct, commission, operate, and maintain engineering products, processes, systems, and services.
You will display a team spirit, particularly in a multicultural environment, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team with colleagues in person and around the world.
