Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team at the University of Stavanger. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop a research profile and gain the qualifications required to be eligible for a position as an Associate Professor.

The successful candidate will be employed for a period of three years and will be affiliated with the project "Future investment decisions in the energy and ocean economies: Impacts on Norway's economic, environmental, and social sustainability". The main purpose of the research project is to analyze factors that impact value added, export revenues and employment of energy and ocean industries, and how design of policies influencing investments contribute to economic welfare in Norway.

The Postdoctoral Fellow will be expected to be a key contributor in work packages related to energy and resource finance/economics, and involved in data collection, empirical analyses and publication in peer-reviewed journals for the project. The aim of the Postdoctoral Fellowship is to conduct applied finance and/or economics research of the highest international standard documented through:

  1. publications in internationally distinguished journals,
  2. presentations at international conferences, and
  3. dissemination with high visibility and broad societal impact.

The qualifying project will be carried out at the University of Stavanger. It is assumed that the appointee will work full time on the project and that she/he will participate in the academic community.
