NOV Tuboscope Norge based in Stavanger are looking for an Assistant Manager to lead/manage overall activities at the relevant department: operational, administrative, technical, quality, and HSE management. This is a 6 months temporary position, period may be extended.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Leadership and management of personnel.
  2. Management of cleaning, inspection, non-destructive testing (NDT), and storage activities at the department, ensuring repairs of equipment received from customers. The position requires the dedication of personnel and other resources at the department towards the goal of delivering safe services/products of the right quality to our customers. Although the operations manager mainly works in the office/department, some travel activity is anticipated, including to other offices, and occasionally to customer locations or, in rare cases, offshore.
  3. Ensuring that health, environment, and safety (HSE) are prioritized in daily activities.
  4. Identifying and satisfying customer requirements and maintaining an ethical approach to collaboration with customers.
  5. Ensuring the company delivers the right services, products, and technology to our customers on time.
  6. Promoting team spirit and teamwork at the department.
  7. Promoting personal development through training, information, and experience.
  8. Being responsible for the department's finances.
  9. Regularly inspecting premises and operations.
  10. Reporting from the department on operations, personnel, administration, etc.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  1. Higher education, preferably in Management, Economics, Technical, or Production fields.
  2. Previous management experience.
  3. Extensive relevant experience can replace formal education.
  4. Good communication skills, written and verbal, in Norwegian and English.
  5. Ability to work independently and have good collaboration skills.
  6. Good computer skills.
