Job Description

Company Overview:

Stadt Sjøtransport AS is a company under the international towing company MedTug. From their base in Florø, they perform a wide range of services for the shipping and oil rig industries in Norway.

Their highly skilled vessel crew works 4/4 weeks rotation and are dependent on organized schedules for transportation, courses, and other HR-supported issues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Crew management including on-boarding according to flag state requirement and operational need.
  • Manage the daily crew movements for the vessels assigned, and support operations and technical by timely assigning crew with the right skills.
  • Arrange crew changes in collaboration with operations department and clients.
  • Maintain a close work relationship with the Human Resource department in Italy and assist with relevant reporting to the group.
  • Cooperate with accounting department to review and approve relevant invoices and other crew-related costs.
  • Ensure the crew has the appropriate competence/certification and is trained as per company competence matrix and facilitate further training/familiarisation as required.
  • Contribute to continuous development of HR/Crewing concepts and tools throughout the organisation.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in crewing or HR coordination in the maritime industry is preferred, but office administration experience can be considered as well.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new programs quickly.
  • Proficiency in both English and Norwegian, both written and spoken.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and solve problems efficiently.
  • Willingness to work occasional out-of-hours or on-call duties when required.
