Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our team at Hitachi Energy Norway. As a key member of the Supply Chain Management department, you will play a crucial role in procuring civil works and installation services.

Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate, negotiate, and administer procurement proposals, bids, and contracts with contractors. You will work closely with sales/tender resources, project managers, site managers, and engineering teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in procurement and negotiation of medium to large contracts. Your knowledge of the energy sector and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement sourcing strategies for contracted services, aligning with business strategy and ensuring contractor capability and capacity.
  • Plan and execute procurement activities to support cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
  • Interface with key stakeholders, including sales/tender resources, project managers, site managers, and engineering teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering discipline or business administration.
  • Previous experience in procurement and negotiation of medium to large contracts.
  • Knowledge of the energy sector.
  • High communication and networking skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical interest and ability to solve complex problems independently.
  • Knowledge and understanding of risk identification and mitigation.
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian (or other Scandinavian language) written and verbal.
