Joining Our Team

Based in a diverse and highly skilled team of 35 members, we are located in a dynamic environment. Our team's exceptional engineering capabilities enable us to plan and execute cable installation projects across marine and terrestrial settings worldwide. Your Path to Success
To thrive in the realm of Marine Installation, prior experience in energy, maritime, offshore, oil & gas, marine, and construction sectors is essential. The scope of work for our projects will require you to possess expertise in geophysical and geotechnical surveys. You will collaborate closely with project subcontractors to assess survey proposals and determine the necessary survey equipment and personnel for our installation vessels. This will be aligned with project requirements and existing agreements with survey subcontractors. Your contributions will include providing survey insights for procedures, plans, analyses, calculations, and other documentation. You will actively engage in developing technical solutions related to the survey aspects of marine cable installation and subsea protection. Additionally, you will participate in quality assurance and health, safety, and environmental activities within the department and across projects.

Qualifications for Joining

BSc or MSc degree in Land & Hydrographic Surveying, Geophysics, Geology, Geomatics, or a related field Over 5 years of relevant experience in offshore or subsea operations, particularly in Geophysical & Geotechnical surveys or positioning Previous roles may include online surveyor, survey data processor, or project surveyor Familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS and Eiva Navimodel is advantageous. Success in this role is likely if you are accustomed to working in a structured and precise manner when drafting technical documentation and procedures. Our fast-paced environment demands the ability to meet tight deadlines and operate efficiently. At Nexans, we work in project-based teams, so being self-motivated and capable of managing your own tasks is crucial. Proficiency in English – both oral and written. Knowledge of Norwegian is a plus.
