Survey Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Survey Engineer to join our team at Nexans. As a Survey Engineer, you will play a critical role in the planning and execution of marine and land cable installation projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct geophysical and geotechnical surveys to gather data for cable installation projects
- Evaluate survey proposals and specify survey equipment/personnel needed for installation vessels
- Provide survey input to procedures, plans, analyses, calculations, and other documentation
- Develop technical solutions related to the survey aspect of marine cable laying and marine subsea protection
- Participate in QA and HSE activities internally in the department and in projects
- BSc or MSc degree in Land & Hydrographic surveying, Geophysics, Geology, Geomatics, or similar
- More than 5 years of relevant experience from offshore or subsea operations related to geophysical & geotechnical survey or positioning
- Relevant background could be online surveyor, survey data processing, project surveyor
- Knowledge about ESRI ArcGIS and Eiva Navimodel is an advantage
- Fluent in English – oral and written. Norwegian is a plus
