About the Position

This PhD position is a unique opportunity to join the Oslo Centre for Biostatistics and Epidemiology (OCBE), one of Europe's most active biostatistics groups. The successful candidate will work on a challenging project that aims to develop and apply novel statistical methods for time-to-event data to estimate inequality in cancer risk across a population.

Key Tasks
  • Develop and apply novel statistical methods for time-to-event data to estimate inequality in cancer risk across a population.
  • Analyze large-scale, detailed data from population-wide registries to inform familial risk predictions.
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
Requirements
  • MSc or equivalent in statistics, data science, or a related field.
  • Programming skills in R, Python, or similar languages.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
