Position Overview

The Nordic Medical Affairs Specialist is accountable for the formulation and implementation of the Women's Health Medical Affairs Strategy across the region, under the mentorship of the Medical Affairs Lead. While the primary focus will be on Women's Health, the role may also encompass support for additional therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular health. This position entails collaboration with Scientific Leaders (SLs) and Key Decision Makers (KDMs) to drive scientific initiatives and provide support to the field team.

Key Responsibilities

Scientific and Technical Leadership

  • Effectively communicate scientific needs and insights to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish credibility with the scientific community through peer-to-peer interactions, research collaborations, and educational initiatives.
  • Deliver therapeutic training to designated teams and affiliate functions.
  • Design and implement country-specific medical education programs and symposia.
  • Facilitate Expert Input Forums in alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Contribute actively to professional organizations and regulatory working groups.
  • Provide scientific contributions for digital projects.

Medical Strategy and Therapy Leadership

  • Adapt Global Medical Strategies into actionable research, data analysis, and educational initiatives that enhance patient outcomes.
  • Foster collaboration between field teams and Medical Affairs by offering scientific and medical support to the Commercial team.
  • Assess the accuracy of promotional materials.
  • Engage with SLs/KDMs to provide Medical Affairs support and drive scientific initiatives.
  • Gather, analyze, and share actionable insights at the country level.
  • Provide scientific input for digital initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively to resolve Regulatory inquiries and issues.
  • Support the execution of tactical plans, adapting swiftly to local business realities.
  • Uphold ethical standards by providing balanced and reliable scientific information.
  • Assist in developing therapy training content for the Sales team.
  • Exhibit strategic thinking related to asset value propositions and clinical evidence.

Qualifications

  • MD, PhD in health sciences, Pharm D, or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Medical Affairs.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry guidelines, regulatory frameworks, and clinical research standards.
  • Fluency in at least one Nordic language and English.
  • Preferred scientific expertise in the Women's Health domain.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills.
