Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Global Quality and Safety Manager to join our team at NOV Inc.

About the Role

This is a key position responsible for implementing and maintaining quality and safety activities within Process Systems Oslo. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and health, safety, and environmental management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, verify, comment, and review documentation from a quality and safety point of view;
  • Participate in internal and external quality and safety meetings, including with clients;
  • Assist functional managers and team leaders in developing procedures;
  • Maintain relationships with external quality and safety providers, ensuring effective outcomes for the business that are safe, high standard, and cost-effective;
  • Audit, compliance, and project execution (external and internal);
  • Responsible for defining and rectifying potential gaps or inconsistencies between processes in the office (cross-process check);
  • Manage planning and performance of system audits to ensure effective implementation, including management of client-requested audits;
  • Responsible for ISO 9001 certification audits, follow-up audits, securing, and maintaining the ISO 9001 certification of Oslo office;
  • Responsible for NCR/improvement process. Promoting the process/assigning and follow-up of closing of NCR/improvements;
  • Support QA to client, subcontractors, and suppliers;
  • Support QCQS Manager in the implementation of PEM in all projects;
    Coordination of emergency management response activities, point of contact, and escalation for incidents globally on a 24/7 basis;
Requirements
  • BSc/MSc – Engineering degree;
  • Min. 5 years' experience within QA and HSE;
  • Experience in coordination and networking with multiple countries and cultures at global level;
  • Third-Party Certified Auditor in current ISO standards;
  • Willingness to travel internationally as necessary;
  • Willingness and ability to be on-call contact for emergency situations out of hours;
  • Experience in HSE inspections, statistics, and indicators;
  • Microsoft Sharepoint, ability to develop, create, and maintain Sharepoint sites and backend databases for quality purposes and business needs;
  • Proactive and innovative, focused on continuous improvement;
  • Experience in statics and analytical methods, ability to interpret and present data for reporting purposes;
  • High-level Excel skills, strong general computer skills, able to work with a variety of systems, programs, learning new programs quickly;
  • English fluency (oral and written).
Estimated Salary

NOK 800,000 - 1,200,000 per annum, depending on experience.
