Survey Manager Job Description

The Survey department at DeepOcean plays a crucial role in providing onshore and offshore resources to our projects. As Survey Manager, you will lead the department in achieving DeepOcean's objectives and strategies. This position is based onshore in one of our offices in Norway, with regular travel to the Haugesund office expected.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion HSEQS values and processes, ensuring a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Manage the delivery of survey services in Norway, maintaining responsibility for personnel and resources.
  • Operate the Survey department within budget and business objectives while driving continuous organisational improvement.
  • Mentor and develop managers in the Department.
  • Forecast and maintain necessary resources and competencies to support projects and developments.
  • Lead the continuous enhancement of survey methods through development and maintenance of software and hardware, as well as governing documentation and guidelines.
  • Maintain efficient working relationships and collaboration with projects, relevant internal departments, and UK Survey Services.
  • Support tender processes and ensure peer reviews are done by relevant stakeholders.
  • Implement innovative technology initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the offshore subsea industry.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English.
