About the Role

We are looking for a talented Micro Optics Researcher to join our team at SINTEF Digital.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in micro-optics and nano-photonics, with expertise in developing innovative sensor applications using silicon MEMS and electro-optical modulation in combination with diffractive optics, metasurfaces, and photonic integrated circuits (PIC).

You will work closely with our Micro Optics group to develop new concepts and proposals for R&D projects to various funding agencies. You will also establish new collaborations with technological and academic partners, and contribute to project idea development.

As a Micro Optics Researcher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality R&D work to industrial customers and/or academic R&D partners. Your responsibilities will include concept development, MEMS/sensor design, process development, follow-up of component fabrication in the cleanroom, and characterization and testing.
