Job Description

As a Meeting & Event Coordinator at Clarion Hotel The Hub, you will be responsible for planning and executing large events and conferences. You will work closely with a sales team to create unique experiences for our guests. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Overseeing and ensuring the delivery of high-quality events for groups of 300-1100 people.
  2. Maintaining regular communication with clients, event planners, and PCO's to ensure detailed planning.
  3. Ensuring all information and details are in place on time and communicated to relevant departments.
  4. Quality-checking all bookings against the correct segment, client information, agreements, and prices.
  5. Actively working with upselling and identifying opportunities for clients.
  6. Financially following up on projects from start to finish.

Working hours are primarily Monday to Friday, daytime, with some flexibility to attend events.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, particularly the small details that make a big difference. This role requires relevant experience in conference planning and knowledge of the hotel industry. You must be able to think creatively, work independently, and be highly structured in your work. You should be able to adapt to various types of clients and understand their expectations. Fluency in Norwegian/Skandinavian and English is required. Experience with an event booking system is a significant plus.
