Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Telecoms Engineer to join our team in FPSO/FSO production installations. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 15 years' Oil & Gas experience in Telecoms Engineering and/or Construction and/or Project management.

Responsibilities

">
  • ">
  • Analyze, determine, and specify Telecom requirements and considerations for projects.">
  • Define specifications for suitable Telecom equipment.">
  • Review vendor offers, analyze discrepancies, and take action on project specifications or proposition.">
  • Define test protocols, attend FAT at supplier location, and provide technical support.">
  • Keep abreast of Certification Authorities (ABS) requirements relating to telecoms.">
  • Perform system power consumption calculations, define cable schedules, and interconnection diagrams.">
  • Provide technical support to Services Sales and Proposal/Estimating Departments.">
  • Respond to client inquiries, contractors, classification societies, and prepare variation orders.">
  • Help Technical Project Managers define Telecom activities and ensure project teams are aware of Client specifications and contractual requirements.">
  • Identify design changes, recommend inspection requirements, monitor internal drawings, and review specifications and documentation.">
  • Attend departmental/project meetings, participate in material receiving, ABS coordination, and review certification and VDB's.">

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

">
  • ">
  • A minimum of 15 years' Oil & Gas experience in Telecoms Engineering and/or Construction and/or Project management.">
  • 5 years' experience in petrochemicals with emphasis on FPSO/FSO production installations.">
  • Excellent written and spoken English; other relevant languages desirable.">
  • 5 years' proven supervisory experience.">
  • Practical knowledge of Permit to Work.">
  • CompEx Hazardous Areas IEC60079-14 & 17 training and a valid certificate.">
