We are currently seeking a qualified Surveyor to join our team in Oslo, Norway.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting ship surveys and providing advice for service delivery within their area of expertise. They will also be involved in the assessment of the design/production/in-service aspects of engineering assets in the marine environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct ship surveys and provide advice for service delivery within own area of experience while adhering to contractual requirements
- Assess design/production/in-service aspects of engineering assets in the marine environment using LR's Rules and Procedures
- Develop reports, certificates, and documents to an agreed format and within agreed timescales
- Give guidance to other employees, as appropriate, and disseminate information to achieve effective knowledge transfer and application
- Monitor and act on client feedback to continually improve service delivery
Requirements:
- A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organization recognized by Lloyd's Register and/or relevant sea-going experience as a certificated ship's engineer officer
- Preferably over three years of relevant industry experience in a local or multinational organization
- Certified English proficiency and fluency according to the job requirements and familiarity with maritime terminology in English
- Ability to apply appropriate theoretical and practical methods to design, develop, manufacture, construct, commission, operate and maintain engineering products, processes, systems and services
- Understanding of technical and commercial management principles, e.g. project management, process management
