Software Development Specialist

About the Role
In this position, you will be part of the Graphics & UI Area at The Qt Company, contributing to the development of UI components that millions of users and developers interact with daily.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, modern C++ code for the UI components.
- Work independently on tasks and projects, managing your time and resources effectively.
- Foster a culture of quality by participating in continuous integration, testing, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and enhance a large codebase.
- Engage with the broader Qt community, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Develop software on multiple platforms, utilizing cross-platform development techniques.
- Apply software engineering principles, including debugging, profiling, and automated testing.
- Provide constructive feedback and reviews on various topics.
- Work on existing code, improving its quality and maintainability.
- Collaborate with different teams and products to achieve common goals.
- Assist colleagues in their development tasks, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing.
About You
- Have in-depth knowledge of Linux, Windows, or macOS systems.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Be curious and creative in solving challenges and tasks.
- Show interest in software design and architecture.
- Understand the development workflow and its intricacies.
Desirable Skills
- Leadership experience in development projects.
- Proficiency in Qt and QML.
- Experience with open-source communities and development.
- Familiarity with advanced C++ concepts, such as SFINAE, CTAD, and ADL.
- Ability to guide and mentor colleagues in their development tasks.
