Main Purpose of Position

We are currently looking for a Lead Project Planner to be part of our global team working towards our vision. As our Lead Project Planner, you will provide complete project planning and scheduling support to projects in line with our core processes, procedures, templates, and tools.

Main Responsibilities

  • Operating System: You will follow guidelines and prescribed structures as outlined by the Operating System and provide continuous input towards improvement and optimization of the Operating System.
  • Support to Opportunity and Development Phase of Projects: You will compile high-level timelines for opportunity and development, assist in developing milestones to be integrated in the relevant Power Purchase Agreement, assist in due diligence process, and provide resource man-hours estimation.
  • Support to Structuring Phase of Projects: You will maintain and update the high-level timeline, establish and update the program for structuring phase, compile and prepare overall master project program (schedule) for delivery phase integrating the standard Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), prepare planning-related contract schedules for head EPC, all suppliers, and contractors' contract documents, support supply chain with quotation documents, final purchase orders, contract, and tender evaluations, support engineering team with planning for engineering documents, (MDL) programme alignment, and preparing engineering progress report.
  • Support and Monitor to Delivery / Execution Phase of Projects: You will review and verify the contractor's baseline, programme basis memorandum, manpower, and machinery histograms and S-Curve, set up the baseline, weighting, and generating the S-Curves, update the project schedule based on work achieved, baseline updates, and reporting, provide forecast to all stakeholders on upcoming and critical activities, coordinate and follow-up the project planner at site, ensure the information gathered from the contractors are incorporated into the overall project master schedule, elaborate documentation needed to support main EPC contract document, suppliers, and sub-contractor EPC request for quotation documents and final purchase orders, track, monitor, and forecast progress of all activities on the project, communicate with the team members about activities to be performed and deadlines, analyze gaps between planned and actual progress, highlight areas of concern which require actions, and recovery plan.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Education: A formal technical qualification (Engineering, Project Management) is required.
  • Experience: 8+ years of project planning and scheduling experience in an EPC organization is necessary.
  • Language: Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential (French and/or Arabic is a plus).
  • Advanced knowledge of Planning Tools (Primavera, MS Projects, MS Office) is desired.
  • You should be comfortable working in changing environments and meeting new challenges quickly.
