Head of Discipline for Pollution

We are seeking an experienced leader to head our Pollution discipline, driving our team's success in delivering high-quality services to our clients. As Head of Discipline, you will be responsible for the professional development of your team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and role model according to COWI's leadership behaviours and values
- Ensure the well-being of your employees and maintain a positive working environment
- Facilitate personal development for your employees, including training and coaching
- Evaluate the need for new hires and oversee the hiring process
- Coordinate with other Head of Disciplines, market and project directors, and the Vice President
- Provide project management or specialist input to projects
You will be part of the department management team, working closely with other Head of Disciplines and the Technical Director. You will report to the VP, Head of Engineering Environment.
Your Skills:
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of success in managing teams
- Experience in aspects of pollution, contaminated sites, or related fields
- Minimum bachelor's degree in geology, environmental studies, or a related field
- Strong understanding of working in a consultancy environment, where quality of services, customer needs, and colleague engagement are paramount
- Fluent or minimum B2 level Norwegian or other Scandinavian languages, oral and written
