Position Overview

NOV Inc is in search of a proficient Senior Process Engineer to enhance our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in spearheading and executing process engineering initiatives throughout various project phases. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned engineer to engage in innovative and complex projects within the oil and gas sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Leadership: Assume the role of Process Lead for tenders and projects.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Discipline Manager to establish project goals for the process engineering team.
  • Technical Precision: Guarantee that all deliverables are technically sound, align with project scope, budget, and timelines, and adhere to quality standards and project protocols.
  • Control Narrative Development: Formulate control narratives for intricate process systems and oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
  • Documentation Creation: Develop and support fellow process engineers in producing essential design documents, including Heat and Material Balances (H&MB), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), Data Sheets, line sizing, Pressure Safety Valve (PSV) specifications, and equipment sizing.
  • Software Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in process simulation software such as Hysys.
  • Technical Representation: Serve as a representative in Technical Design Reviews, including P&ID, HAZOP, SIL, HAZID, and client/vendor meetings.
  • Project Support: Assist project engineering leads and managers in design and execution in accordance with contractual obligations and client requirements.
  • Technical Documentation: Exhibit strong skills in drafting technical reports, scopes of work, and Technical Queries.
  • Problem Identification: Recognize issues and inconsistencies in work processes, propose enhancements, and seek assistance when necessary.

Technical Skills

  • Chemical Engineering Foundation: Possess a solid grounding in chemical engineering principles.
  • Industry Background: Have experience in the oil and gas sector.
  • Standards Familiarity: Maintain a strong understanding of industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Professional Experience: Accumulate 5-10 years of relevant experience in process engineering.
  • Software Knowledge: Be fluent in process simulation software (Hysys or equivalent).
  • Control Systems Expertise: Exhibit competence in control systems with relevant experience in developing control narratives for complex systems.
  • Field Experience: Site experience is advantageous.
