About the Position

We are inviting applications for a PhD position in English linguistics at Unist. This four-year fixed-term position offers an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to pursue advanced research in this field.

The PhD candidate will be affiliated with the section for English linguistics at the department of foreign languages and will work closely with experienced researchers.

Research Areas:

  • Language variation and change on all levels of linguistic analysis (phonetics/phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics)
  • Synchronic or historical linguistics
  • Language contact

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Master's degree in English linguistics or a related field
  • Strong background in empirical data analysis and argumentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
