JOINING OUR TEAM

The Project Procurement team is a diverse and multicultural group with members located in various regions. This team is tasked with overseeing and coordinating all procurement-related activities in accordance with Nexans' purchasing protocols throughout the duration of tenders and projects.

The Northern Europe/Asia Division is a segment of the Project Procurement team that specifically supports projects aimed at final client delivery in Northern Europe and Asia, excluding certain regions. The position is based in Oslo, Norway, and you will report to the purchasing team leader for this division.

EMBARKING ON YOUR JOURNEY

To successfully begin your role as Project Procurement Manager , you should possess at least a Master’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field, along with a minimum of 9 years of experience in project procurement within the energy or oil/gas industries.

You should be driven, capable of managing multiple tasks, prioritizing effectively, and communicating proficiently while executing tasks efficiently.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO SUCCESS

You will be entrusted with full responsibility for all procurement activities within specific key tenders or execution projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Your impact will be amplified by actively advocating for Quality and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in English
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain
  • Extensive experience in relevant roles may substitute for formal education
  • At least 9 years of experience in Procurement, Category Management, or Supply Chain with a proven track record of successful negotiations or commercial achievements
  • Eagerness to understand the technical purchasing needs sufficiently to engage and challenge suppliers
  • Strong negotiation skills with suppliers, including experience with various negotiation strategies and platforms
  • Familiarity with diverse sourcing and e-sourcing platforms
  • Collaborative team player with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively
  • Commercially minded with a proactive approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to seek out information
  • Capacity to build a network both internally and externally
  • High work capacity and resilience during high-pressure periods
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Experience with SAP is mandatory
  • Knowledge of BI and Ariba is a plus
