Our client is a pioneering company in the field of robotics, taking a holistic approach to design and develop humanoid robots. They develop all components of the robots in-house, including motors, transmissions, sensors, electronics, controls, and AI. As a member of their team, you will have the opportunity to develop skills in all these areas and contribute to creating unique solutions across domains.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Materials Engineer to join our client's growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal alloys, mechanical behavior of materials, and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop material capabilities end-to-end, from research to testing and production
- Research and specify metal alloys for low and high volume production
- Define Design for Manufacturing guidelines for die casting, forging, etc. with the R&D Engineering team
- Work closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure engineering specifications are met
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong knowledge in metal alloys
- Strong knowledge in mechanical behavior of materials and manufacturing
- Experience with high strength composites and plastics
- Experience with corrosion protection and electrical continuity in structures
- Knowledge in serial-manufacturing friendly materials and manufacturing methods
