About the Role

This position involves developing and maintaining payment solutions for European customers as part of an international team. As a Software Engineer-2, you will be responsible for delivering software, collaborating with stakeholders, troubleshooting and refactoring code, adopting new technologies, influencing team decisions, and sharing knowledge and expertise.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver software: Develop and deliver software including code development, testing, and deployment at the application level.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Collaborate with stakeholders to align on objectives and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Troubleshoot and refactor code: Troubleshoot and refactor existing code to improve functionality and performance.
  • Adeptly adopt new technologies: Adequately adopt new technologies required by the work and implement them effectively.
  • Influence team decisions: Influence team decisions and guide peers and junior members.
  • Share knowledge and expertise: Share knowledge through Guild initiatives and document APIs and services delivered.
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices: Familiar with secure coding practices and standards.
  • Secure coding experience: Experienced in writing secure code in multiple languages.
  • Branching strategies and peer review: Knowledgeable about branching strategies and peer review practices.
  • Code quality scanning tools: Able to apply tools and techniques to scan code quality.
  • Unit, service, and integration-level testing: Understands unit, service, and integration-level testing.
  • Design patterns and requirement analysis: Familiar with design patterns and requirement analysis.
  • SDLC practices and delivery situations: Knowledgeable about different SDLC practices and delivery situations.
  • Mission-critical software capabilities: Familiar with engineering principles used in building mission-critical software capabilities.
  • Business process implementation: Understands various application patterns to implement business processes.
  • Continuous Integration and Delivery concepts: Experienced in Continuous Integration and Delivery concepts.
