Job Description

Solutions Engineer Job Summary

As a Solutions Engineer at GelatoConnect, you will collaborate with internal teams and customers to design solutions that meet customer requirements while demonstrating the full value of GelatoConnect. You will play a critical role in the sales process, bridging the gap between technical functionality and business needs.

You will be responsible for working closely with customers to understand their business challenges and developing proposals, including scope, cost estimates, and implementation timelines. Additionally, you will prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to existing and new customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and requirements.
  • Work with customers to gather requirements and understand their business challenges.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to existing and new customers.
  • Develop proposals, including scope, cost estimates, and implementation timelines.
  • Design and recommend solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Answer technical questions and address customer concerns during the sales process.
  • Provide input on sales strategies and tactics to improve customer engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for customers and internal teams.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align service delivery with overall business objectives and drive product enhancements based on customer feedback.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have experience working directly with commercial printers, ideally in a product specialist role. A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.

You should also have proven experience (3+ years) in a similar role within the software industry, with a focus on presales. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are essential, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to drive results, manage stakeholder expectations, and navigate challenging situations with diplomacy and professionalism is also required.
