As a Piping and Layout Lead at NES Fircroft, you will be responsible for leading the Piping and Layout discipline work in various project phases. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that piping and layout deliverables are in line with the project scope, budget, and schedule.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Lead the Piping and Layout discipline work in project phases, ensuring that deliverables meet the project scope, budget, and schedule.
  2. For early phase projects, scope and follow up studies in Piping and Layout discipline, and mature Piping and Layout deliveries as required per project phase.
  3. During FEED and execution phase, follow up Contractor and, when relevant, supplier to ensure deliverables in line with scope of work, budget, and schedule.
  4. Overall responsibility for the Piping and Layout discipline, deciding on the split of responsibilities internally within the discipline.
  5. Contribute to decision making, planning, project risk, quality, and control activities as part of an engineering management team.
  6. Follow up Contractor to ensure deliveries in line with scope of work, budget, and schedule, providing input, clarifications, and maintaining contact as necessary.
  7. Contribute to internal project evaluations and documentation, such as Design basis, Technical and operational requirements, and guidelines (TORG), functional specifications, technology assessments, and qualification programs.
  8. Select and/or develop specifications and provide input to procurement activities for ongoing and future project phases within own discipline.
  9. Plan and execute Piping and Layout quality assurance activities.
  10. Ensure necessary dialogue with interfacing parties and disciplines, contributing to resolving interface issues.
  11. Drive engineering efficiency, secure safety in design, design-to-cost, and destructibility within own discipline.
  12. Support and take responsibility for decisions within own discipline within set time frames.
  13. Manage, evaluate, and handle relevant change proposals and requests for deviation from requirements in TORG and contract.
  14. Follow up delivery of life cycle information (LCI) within discipline.
  15. Perform "Internal Colleague Review" and ensure experience transfer between projects, operations, and discipline network.Requirements
    1. MSc/BSc in relevant technical area.
    2. Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience (depending on role).
    3. Good piping and layout knowledge.
    4. Familiar with relevant Company and NORSOK requirements, and other internationally recognised standards.
    5. Experience from all relevant phases of development process: feasibility studies, concept studies, and detail engineering.
    6. Fabrication and installation experience is an advantage.
    7. Good multidiscipline and interface understanding.
    8. Strong SSU focus.
    9. Commercial mindset.
    10. Team player.
