Senior Instrumentation Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrumentation Specialist to join our team at NES Fircroft. As a key member of our Instruments discipline, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical solutions and ensuring the successful execution of projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Instrument Design and Development: Design, develop, and implement instrumentation solutions that meet the requirements of our clients.
  2. Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and review Instruments discipline documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations.
  3. Vendor Management: Manage vendor packages, including design, testing, review, and follow-up, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  4. Engineering Work Packages: Produce high-quality engineering work packages that meet the needs of our clients.
  5. Collaboration and Interface: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and site personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
  6. Site Surveys: Conduct site surveys to gather data and inform instrumentation design.
  7. Reviews and Quality Assurance: Participate in reviews and ensure that all work meets the required quality standards.
  8. Data Management: Manage and maintain data in engineering databases, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  9. Procurement and Supply Chain: Define and procure instruments-related materials, tools, and equipment.
  10. Travel and Offshore Work: Travel offshore when required to support project execution.

Requirements:

  1. Education and Experience: Master's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in instrumentation engineering.
  2. Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of rules and regulations for instrumentation, with experience in offshore surveys desirable.
  3. Language and Communication: Fluency in both Norwegian and English is required, with basic EX courses and FSE high and low voltage with first aid certification.
