Your Role at Impact Tech Inc

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Lead to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in software development, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for driving technical excellence. This role involves leading a team of talented engineers and data scientists, managing project timelines, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers to achieve their full potential and deliver outstanding results.
  2. Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and with high quality.
  3. Provide technical guidance and support to the team, staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  4. Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business goals.
  5. Promote best practices in coding, testing, and documentation, conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
  6. Address technical challenges and roadblocks, developing innovative solutions to complex problems.
  7. Allocate resources effectively to balance multiple projects and priorities, ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary tools and support.
  8. Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for growth and development within the team.

Requirements

  1. Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  2. 5+ years of tech industry work experience as a software engineer or engineering lead.
  3. Strong background in software development with hands-on experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript).
  4. Proficiency in software architecture and design principles.
  5. Experience with agile development methodologies.
  6. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  7. Experience with recommendation systems, algorithmic experimentation, and research, and advanced conversion optimization.
  8. Excellent communicator, able to articulate business questions and use mathematical techniques to derive answers from available data.
  9. Experience communicating analysis results with product and leadership teams to influence product strategy.
  10. Understanding of digital marketing and statistical algorithms used in marketing analytics.
  11. Ability to navigate complex business organizations and manage multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
  12. Demonstrated leadership and self-direction, with a willingness to both teach others and learn new techniques.
