Quality Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our client's team in Kongsberg. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring top-notch product quality by collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet quality requirements and resolve measurement-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and Maintain Measurement and Inspection Procedures: Create and update measurement and inspection procedures for product monitoring, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  2. Lead Metrology and Calibration Processes: Implement and optimize metrology and calibration processes to ensure precision and reliability.
  3. Perform Inspections and Audits: Conduct inspections and audits of components, products, and production processes to identify areas for improvement.
  4. Review and Approve Engineering Documentation: Participate in the review and approval of engineering documentation, including drawings and Bills of Materials.
  5. Provide Training and Mentoring: Train and mentor inspection and production teams on quality standards and best practices.
  6. Coordinate Non-Conformance Management: Manage non-conformance issues, including investigations and corrective actions.
  7. Prepare Factory Acceptance Test Reports: Prepare and sign Factory Acceptance Test reports and Certificates of Compliance for delivered products.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience, along with a strong knowledge of metrology and quality management systems. Proficiency in interpreting drawings and specifications, as well as experience in product and process audits, is essential. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are required, along with strong documentation practices and attention to detail.
