Based in Norway, our Marine Installation team comprises 35 highly skilled and diverse professionals. Thanks to our team's exceptional engineering capabilities, we successfully plan and execute marine and terrestrial cable installation projects worldwide. We adeptly navigate environmental challenges and client specifications through our specialized engineering knowledge. We are currently expanding our team and are seeking a new member.

YOUR PATH TO SUCCESS

To thrive in the Marine Installation team, you should possess experience in the energy, maritime, marine, Oil & Gas, offshore, or construction sectors. Your background should include working in project-driven organizations with a focus on cable/pipe protection or seabed intervention, protection, and survey. Experience in domestic or international projects is essential, ideally related to interconnectors, wind farms, or power-from-shore initiatives. You should be adept at ensuring quality and safety throughout the project lifecycle, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills through your leadership capabilities.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO OUR SUCCESS
As a Protection Engineer, your role will be vital in guaranteeing the success of our marine protection initiatives. Here’s how you can significantly contribute:

Planning and Design:

Formulate technical solutions for the marine protection scope of work (SOW) and offer technical guidance during both planning and execution phases. Assist the Marine Lead Engineer in overseeing the schedule, budget, and resources for the primary SOW. Conduct a comprehensive contract review to fully understand the protection SOW, necessary equipment, and project milestones. Provide insights regarding the protection component of the installation budget. Establish technical specifications for subcontractor tasks during the planning stage.
Cable Installation: Coordinate the use of equipment such as CAPJET and ploughs for jetting operations to create barriers for the cables. Supervise the deployment of subsea ploughs to establish trenches for cable installation. Organize the installation of concrete mattresses to prepare and/or safeguard cable crossings. Offer offshore support during the installation phase. Maintain effective communication and follow up with subcontractors throughout the cable installation process.
Inspection and Verification: Utilize remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) to conduct inspections and verify the effectiveness of cable protection measures. Perform thorough inspections to ensure compliance with the project plan. Identify and address any potential issues or vulnerabilities in the cable protection system. Generate detailed reports on inspection findings and provide recommendations for necessary actions. Ensure that assessments of the protection requirements are conducted, evaluated for feasibility, and aligned with contract/client specifications.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

BSc or MSc degree in Engineering. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Extensive experience in similar roles may compensate for formal education.
