Position Overview
The Nordic Medical Affairs Specialist is primarily accountable for the formulation and implementation of the Women's Health Medical Affairs Strategy across the region, under the mentorship of the Medical Affairs Lead. While the focus will be on Women's Health, there may also be opportunities to support additional therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular health.
Key Responsibilities
Scientific and Technical Leadership
- Effectively communicate scientific needs and insights to various internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Establish credibility with the scientific community through peer interactions, research collaborations, and engagement with health organizations.
- Deliver therapeutic and functional training to designated teams and affiliated departments.
- Design and implement country-specific medical educational initiatives and symposiums.
- Facilitate Expert Input Forums aligned with strategic objectives.
- Actively participate in professional organizations and contribute to academic or regulatory working groups.
- Provide scientific contributions for digital initiatives.
Medical Strategy and Therapy Leadership
- Transform Global Medical Strategies into actionable research, data analysis, scientific communication, and educational initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and access.
- Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between field operations and Medical Affairs by providing scientific and medical support to the Commercial team.
- Assess the accuracy of promotional materials.
- Engage with Scientific Leaders and Key Decision Makers to drive scientific initiatives and support the field team.
- Gather, analyze, and disseminate actionable insights at the country level.
- Provide scientific contributions for digital initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively to resolve Regulatory inquiries and issues.
- Adapt tactical plans to align with business realities in the region.
- Uphold ethical standards by providing balanced, reliable, and scientifically accurate information.
- Support the Sales team with therapy training content.
- Exhibit strategic thinking related to asset value propositions and clinical evidence.
Qualifications
- MD, PhD in health sciences, Pharm D, or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of two years of experience in Medical Affairs.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry guidelines, regulatory frameworks, and clinical research standards.
- Proficiency in at least one Nordic language, in addition to English.
- Preferred scientific expertise in the Women's Health domain.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Strong strategic thinking skills.
