Overview
Expro is a leading energy services company, and we are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team based in Stavanger.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the Finance process is managed in accordance with Expro Group Financial policy and procedures, in compliance with relevant local legislation jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that all financial transactions are undertaken in a timely manner and in compliance with company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
- Assisting in the preparation of the month-end close to meet strict Group/Business Unit reporting deadlines.
- Producing required Management reports on a timely basis, ensuring accuracy, and highlighting any discrepancies for investigation and discussion with related Management.
- Preparing tax returns, reconciling work-in-progress accounts, and analyzing budget forecasting.
- Liaising with internal and external departments as required to ensure all aspects of finance processes and reporting are accurate, in compliance with company policies and procedures, and in line with legislative requirements.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A degree in a recognized accounting qualification.
- At least 7 years of practical experience within a Finance environment.
- Proficiency in using SAP or a similar Finance package.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Achieved chartered status.
