We are seeking a highly skilled Materials and Equipment Engineer to join our team in Bergen. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the discipline responsibility for materials within our projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating optimal material solutions for pipes, valves, and equipment
  • Overseeing procurement packages and supplier relations
  • Conducting discipline checks of certificates and procedures for materials, welding, NDT, and surface treatment
  • Providing advice and evaluations on materials and corrosion-related damage mechanisms
  • Creating documentation and reports

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in materials technology or a related field
  • Significant relevant experience can substitute for formal education

In addition, you should have:

  • 5-10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Experience with maintenance and modification work
