About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Non-Linear Subject Matter Expert to join our team at Spektrum. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients with specialist services, including professional services, aerospace and defence sales, delivery, and operational subject matter expertise.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Incident Development to develop storylines with appropriate levels of non-linear effects, including the establishment of threat networks.
  • Conducting non-linear incident development in the Joint Exercise Management Module (JEMM) and Link Analysis software.
  • Scripting non-linear content, including in JEMM, as required and editing submitted non-linear content.
  • Providing non-linear expertise to scripters as required.
  • Reporting to the Chief Non-Linear Cell.
  • Actively supporting assigned workshop syndicates by contributing non-linear expertise.
  • Performing other non-linear tasks as directed by the Chief Non-Linear Cell.
  • Attending Incident Development boards, working groups, and other meetings as directed by the Chief Non-Linear Cell.
  • Being prepared to attend the Non-Linear Crisis Action Team (CAT) activation at short notice.
  • Coordinating and deconflicting with other non-linear cells and other EXCON cells daily during execution.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 8 years of previous military or civilian experience in the operational intelligence or special forces domain, reaching the rank of OF3/OF4 (or civilian equivalent).
  • 3 years of military or civilian experience as a OF3-OF4 (or civilian equivalent) in relevant positions.
  • Competency and qualification in Link Analysis databases and software applications.
  • Working knowledge of hybrid threats at the operational or strategic level.
  • Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education and Language

The successful candidate will have:

  • Higher-level civilian, military, or staff college education/degree relevant to intelligence, law, or international affairs.
  • Business English language proficiency.
Working Location and Policy

The role will be based in Stavanger, Norway, with on-site working policy.

Travel and Security Clearance

The successful candidate will be required to travel to other NATO sites and hold a valid national or NATO secret personal security clearance.
