The Role

We're looking for an experienced Engineering Lead to join our innovative team. As a key member of our engineering leadership, you will be responsible for leading a team of talented engineers and data scientists, managing project timelines, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to the team, stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  2. Project Management: Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery to ensure timely completion, within scope, and with high quality.
  3. Team Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business goals.
  4. Best Practices: Promote best practices in coding, testing, and documentation, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  5. Innovation: Address technical challenges and roadblocks, develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  6. Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to balance multiple projects and priorities, ensure the team is equipped with the necessary tools and support.
  7. Performance Reviews: Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for growth and development within the team.

Requirements:

  • A Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of tech industry work experience as a software engineer or engineering lead.
  • Proficiency in software architecture and design principles.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Experience with recommendation systems, algorithmic experimentation, and research, and advanced conversion optimization.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate business questions and use mathematical techniques to derive answers from available data.
  • Experience communicating analysis results with product and leadership teams to influence product strategy.
  • Understanding of digital marketing and statistical algorithms used in marketing analytics.
  • Ability to navigate complex business organizations and manage multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership and self-direction, with a willingness to both teach others and learn new techniques.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in advertising technology and affiliate marketing is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications in project management or software development.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing, machine learning, or other advanced technologies.
  • Affiliate & Partnerships Industry Fundamentals Certification by PXA.
